Samsung Galaxsy S2 Android Contender trailed in two epic videos

Official promo clips for the Samsung Galaxy S2 Android powered smartphone have surfaced online, ahead of its official launch at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).
Posted on the Samsung Unpacked site, the videos reveal scant details about what the handset offers. But that’s not too much of a loss given that we’re already pretty au fait with the dual core processor and Android 2.3-packing Galaxy S2’s spec sheet thanks to some high-profile leaks.
As seems to be de rigeur in the ad world these days, both clips have a stirring soundtrack that recalls Icelandic post-rock pixies Sigur Ros, along with portentous statements and shots of the phone bathed in a yellow glow that makes us think of the mysterious contents of the case from Pulp Fiction.
Sammy is set to unwrap its flagship handset for 2011 on February 13th at a press event on the eve of the MWC – along with a number of new additions to the Galaxy family, including a successor to the Galaxy Tab slate.
Rumoured specs for the successor to the best-selling Samsung Galaxy include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, an eight-megapixel snapper with video recording in lovely 1080 HD and Near Field Communication support for Oyster card-style contactless payments.
