Facebook apps can now ask for information like phone number and address!

Facebook has announced that they have made some changes to their User Graph object.

Third party apps can now ask the service access to more personal information like address and phone number.

Of course, the user is asked for permission but majority of them would not even realize that they are giving access to such personal information when presented with a popup box with cluttered information.

Facebook has not done enough to highlight the new sections in the popups and this is likely to cause some heartburn in the future.

If you are a Facebook user, this is a good time to remove these details if you do not want to mistakenly share it with others.
